Scott Houchin, age 47, of Palmyra, Il and formerly of Paris, Mo. died early Sunday evening (June 13, 2021) at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Il.
He was born on December 13, 1973 in Rockford, Illinois the son of Kenneth P. Houchin and the late Joyce Ann Gray Houchin West.
He married Terry Sinkclear on August 14, 2010 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and she survives.
He is survived by his wife; stepchildren, Corrin King of Paris, Mo., and Emma Ballard of Springfield, Mo.; father, Kenneth Houchin and his wife Rosa of Branson, Mo.; two sisters, Patty Houchin of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Michelle Houchin of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, one brother, Robert Houchin (Tracy) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; step-sister, Stacy Connolly (Richard) of Branson, Missouri; two step-brothers, Kevin Edmonds (Becky) of Forsyth, Missouri and Kenny Edmonds (Natasha) of Branson, Missouri and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce.
Following high school, Scott attended Ozark Technical College. Recently he was employed by Walmart in Springfield, Missouri and Mexico, Missouri. Scott loved the outdoors, fishing and boating.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held, Saturday, June 19, 2021, 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson.
