Sharon Kay Winsel

On June 6th, 2020 Sharon Kay Winsel received her wings at her home in Kimberling City, MO. A celebration of life will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 25th, 2020 at the Calvary Baptist Church, Kimberling City, MO, with Pastor Jim Cummings officiating.

Sharon Kay Winsel was born on Monday, November 20, 1944 in Winfield, Kansas to Oliver and Wilma (Davis) Harp. Sharon met Jimmy in July of 1979 and married November 16, 1979. It was love at first sight for Jim and he made it his mission to win her over. It did not take him long and they were married, enjoying life together. Just shy of 41 years of marriage and they never went to bed angry. They lived and made friends in Wichita, KS; Belle Plaine, KS and Springdale, AR. In 2001, they moved to her dream home in Kimberling City, MO by the lake. Blenda Hackworth, Sharon's best friend, spent almost every day of the last year caring for her while they shared their life stories and the love of the lord.

She loved to square dance, fish, bowl and plan family reunions. She excelled at everything she did because she did it with heart.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Winsel; children, Karen Trevino, Kristie Blaylock, Richard Higbee (Jamey)and Beverly Martin (Larry); grandchildren, Jennifer Montano, Amy Harris, KayLynn Gonzalez, Jamie Blaylock (Mark), Shirley Higbee, Jon Higbee, Gary Martin and Joshua Martin and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Nicole Blaylock-Laham.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home LLC, Forsyth, MO.
