Terry Walter Reed
Terry Walter Reed, age 58, of Marble Falls, Arkansas, passed away May 6, 2020. He was born December 21, 1961, in Streator, Illinois, the son of Erwin Walter and America Geraldine (Samples) Reed. Terry was joined in marriage April 1, 2005, to Tina Henry. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
Terry proudly served our country in the United States Army and was an Operation Desert Storm Veteran. After his service to country, Terry was a foreman/guard with the Federal Prison System, retiring in 2015. A man of many talents and interests, he worked on cars, trucks, motorcycles, and four-wheelers. Square-bodied Chevys were his favorites. Some of Terry’s favorite pastimes were going to car shows and drag strip races, finding great deals at swap meets, and riding his Harleys. He enjoyed traveling with Tina and was always on the lookout for Bigfoot. A fan of the Chicago Bears and boxing Terry was also a collector of guns as well as Marvel and DC comic figures. Most of all, Terry loved his kids and grandbabies and he has built many lasting memories taking them fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Fred Reed; and his father-in-law, Tommy Henry.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Tina Reed of Marble Falls, Arkansas; three children: Donnie and Misti Upky of Jasper, Arkansas, Heather and Michael Gatlin of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Mariah Reed and William Terry of Arkansas; seven grandchildren: Breauna, Brooklyn, Summer, Katelyn, Jayden, Donnie, and Aiden; two sisters and a brother: Denna Reed of Streator, Illinois, Gary and Sandy Reed of Streator, Illinois, and Leigh Overbey of Little Rock, Arkansas; and five nephews and one niece.
A private family viewing was held Sunday, May 10, 2020, from 3:00-4:00 p.m. with Cremations of the Ozarks, Hollister, Missouri. No public services will be held at this time. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.cremationsoftheozarks.com.
