Thelma Jean Rutledge
Thelma Jean Rutledge, age 95, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home March 10, 2020. She was born January 10, 1925, in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of Sherwood and Jetta (Hanson) Schmill. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
Having the heart of a servant, Thelma dedicated her life to volunteering with the Episcopal Church and raising her seven children. She was a wonderful cook. Most of all, Thelma loved her family and loved the Lord with all her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford T. Rutledge; a son, Cliff Rutledge; and her only sister, Doris Gabonay.
Thelma is survived by six children: Cynthia Rutledge, of Springfield, Missouri; Deborah Carretti of Springfield, Missouri; Michael Rutledge of Baltimore, Maryland; Teresa Rutledge of Madison, Wisconsin; Keith Rutledge of Essex, Maryland; and Rebecca Olson and husband Ken of St. Louis, Missouri; her grandchildren: C.T. Rutledge and wife Kim, Kathlyn and Amanda Olson; as well her greatgrandchildren, Emily and David Rutledge.
