Truman Harold Zinn

Truman Harold Zinn, age 79, of Verona, Missouri passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020.

He was born July 25, 1941 in Leann, Missouri, the son of Howard P. and Faye Marie (Larkin) Zinn, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Rethal Williams.


Surviving are three sons, Truman Zinn and his wife Calinda of Monett, Missouri, Clinton Zinn of Chesapeake, Missouri and David Zinn of Verona, Missouri; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one on the way.


In his younger years Truman attended school at McDowell and then Crane. After moving to California he attended Bell Gardens High School where he graduated. From August 7, 1959 through August 6, 1962 he served in The United States Army. Later he moved to Oklahoma where he was a police officer, then traveled for construction crews where he was a heavy equipment operator. While in Oklahoma he was a member of Masonic Lodge #36. Moving to Missouri over twenty years ago, his favorite pastimes were working on the farm, hunting, fishing and playing on his dozer.


Visitation will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.


Contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children in memory of Truman.
