Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

Enlisting as soon as possible, Cletus proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. A man of the road, he was an independent truck driver for many years. During his downtime, Cletus could be found fishing, boating on his pontoon boat, working in his garden, or reading. At five each evening, everything had to come to a stop; Jeopardy was on and Cletus thought he had to be watching at any cost. He was funny, serious, and loving all rolled into one loveable man. Many memories have been made on the lake and around the house that will bring joy to those who knew him. He will be greatly missed.

Cletus is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: William Cole and Augustus Cole; sister, Verna Henderson; and a son, Daniel Jason Cole.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Joanie Cole; son, Ricky Cole of Springfield, Missouri; son, Timothy Bryan Cole of Springfield, Missouri; daughter, Marsha (Dan) Edwards of Richmond, Texas; grandchildren: Bryana (Bradley) Diaz, Christian Cole, Courtney (Erik) Grahn, Kelsea (Anthony) Foshe, Skyler Cole, and Amy (Alan) Storey; great-grandchildren: Connor, Mariannh, Hickson, Jakobie, and Haven; “brother,” Joe (Linda) Harp; and many other friends and extended family.

Cletus will be buried at a later time with full military honors in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.cremationsoftheozarks.com.
