Vincent Lee Smothers

Vincent Lee Smothers, age 67, of Branson, Missouri, passed away September 8, 2019, with family by his side. He entered this life September 3, 1952, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, the son of William and Marilyn (Whittaker) Smothers. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

Vincent had a knack for cooking and would spend time in the garden growing fresh food to use as well as growing beautiful flowers. He was a cook on a ship and traveled for over 25 years. When he wasn’t cooking and gardening, Vincent was fishing or watching the Astros. He was a humorous, caring, and giving person and will be dearly missed.

Vincent is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Smothers; sisters: Phyllis King and Bonnie Smothers.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Lynn Birchard of Shawnee, Kansas; daughter, Donita (Jed) Renae Birchard of Osawatomie, Kansas; grandchildren: Hailey, Christopher, Patrick, Madison, Sadie, and Tess; brother, “Sonny” William (Patty) Smothers Jr. of Houston, Texas; sister, Patty Cureton of Dora, Missouri; sister, Pam Smothers of Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Nancy Easterwood of Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Polly Pollard of Windsor, Missouri; sister, Shelly Smothers of Missouri; great grandchildren: Vinley and Mesa Rose; close nephews: Jake, Josh, and Luke; many other nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.
