Wayne Lee Fawver

Wayne Lee Fawver, age 79, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away from his battle with cancer October 17, 2020. He entered this life August 30, 1941, in Freeport, Illinois, the son of Orville and Elaine (Moring) Fawver, who have preceded him in death. September 1, 1962, Wayne was joined in marriage to his sweetheart, Marvel Borchardt.

Wayne graduated from Iowa State University, in Ames, Iowa, with his degree in Veterinary Medicine. He proudly served our country in the United States Army, where he quickly advanced to the rank of Captain. He had a gift for working with wood while building furniture and even buildings. Wayne rebuilt a Corvette and took great care to get the details just right. In his free time, he could be found fishing in the area lakes and streams. Wayne loved his family and invested many hours making memories with them that will be stored away to bring smiles to loved one’s faces. He will be greatly missed.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marvel Fawver; son, Matthew (Terry) Fawver of New York; daughter, Kathleen (Chris) Fawver of California; and brother, Gary (Susan) Fawver of Oregon.

Inurnment will take place at the Cedarville Cemetery in Cedarville, Illinois, at a time to be determined. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.cremationsoftheozarks.com.
