Wilbur Glenn Wilkins
Wilbur Glenn Wilkins, age 76, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away
December 28, 2020, in Branson, Missouri. Wilbur was born in Shreveport,
Louisiana, on October 6, 1944, the son of Ena (Edwards) Wilkins and
Robert Willard Wilkins. On November 11, 1966, he married Beverly
Longino.

Wilbur proudly served during in the United States Navy during Vietnam. A
true outdoorsman, Wilbur loved to hunt and was a fisherman at heart. He
also watched western movies and his favorite program was Gunsmoke.
During his working years, he had a variety of skills. Wilbur retired from
AT&T telecommunications, where he performed tower maintenance. His
most precious moments were his roles as husband and father. Many
summer evenings together were on the baseball fields coaching baseball
for his kids. Wilbur had fun racing trucks with his brother-in-law, Jimmy, in
Texas. He leaves a legacy of caring, giving, and sharing his time with
others. A natural leader, Wilbur will long be remembered for his deep love
for friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Elaine Wilkins and
Gloria Joe Rivers; a son, Ronald Wilkins; and niece, Jo Jo Cole.
Wilbur is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beverly Wilkins of the home; a
son, Mark Wilkins of Hollister, Missouri; and three brothers: Douglas (Rita)
Wilkins of Georgetown, Louisiana, Kevin Wilkins of North Carolina, and
Robert (Carol) Wilkins of Oklahoma. He is also survived by five sisters:
Barbara Crouch of Madisonville, Texas; Rosie Walters of Bentley,
Louisiana; Sandy Delmar of South Carolina; Bonnie Wilkins of North
Carolina; and Carol Horn of Tomball, Texas; several nieces and nephews;
as well as a brother-in-law, Jimmy Longino.
Burial with full military honors will take place 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 7,
2021 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri. Arrangements
