Wilma Irene Kennedy

Wilma Irene Kennedy, age 94, of Branson, Missouri, passed away Wednesday November 27, 2019. She entered this life July 1, 1925, in De Witt, Illinois, the daughter of Carl and Minnie (Florey) Spencer. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.



With a heart for serving, Wilma was very involved in her church, Grandview Assembly of God, in Grandview, Missouri. She was known for making her famous “Granny Pie” for her loved ones. While making quilts for others, Wilma poured her love into each stitch. With active hands and a caring heart, Wilma raised her family, doted on her grandchildren, made her house a home, and adored her pets. Many good times and conversations have been shared over the years and memories will be tucked away for later times. She will be greatly missed.


Wilma is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene Lowell Kennedy; daughter, Peggy Sue Kennedy; son, Terry Bradford Kennedy; grandson, Jason William Kennedy; and three brothers and sisters.


She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Bailey of Branson, Missouri; son, Ron (Shirley) Kennedy of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; daughter, Cindy (Shane) McDaniel of Cleveland, Ohio; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.


A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 7, 2019, at New Vision Christian Center, 12400 Grandview Road, Grandview, Missouri.
